How KERONG Battery-Free NFC Lock Works:

The core technology behind battery-free NFC locks lies in the combination of micro-energy harvesting and Near Field Communication (NFC):

RF Power Supply: When an NFC-enabled smartphone or a specially designed key is brought close to the lock body, the 13.56 MHz high-frequency radio waves emitted by the device generate a tiny induced current in the coil inside the lock body.

Energy Conversion: The microcircuit inside the lock rapidly collects this electromagnetic energy and stores it in a capacitor, boosting the voltage within a few milliseconds to a level sufficient to drive the micro-electromechanical lock bolt.

Secure Authentication: While power is being supplied, the smartphone and the lock complete a two-way encrypted authentication process (such as using AES/ECC algorithms).

Unlocking: Once authentication is successful, the stored electrical energy is instantly released to drive a low-power motor or solenoid valve, thereby unlocking the door.

The entire “detection–power supply–authentication–unlocking” process typically takes between 0.3 and 1 second, making it virtually indistinguishable from conventional card-based unlocking for the user.
